The steel is thick enough at the cut edge that the pattern stays crisp after repeated washing, which is where thinner tips go soft. Large tips also let you cover ground quickly, which matters when buttercream is warming in your hands and time works against a clean finish. Keep them for the bold work and use a smaller set for lettering and fine detail.

Care & Use
Run warm water through each tip immediately after use, before the sugar sets. Dry fully and keep the set in one box. If a pattern starts coming out uneven, look at the cut edge under a light — a small burr is usually the cause and it is worth replacing that tip.
